Great place for fresh meat and the only place I can find my favorite item in the meat department anywhere. is the Arizona location. Even the midwestern meat market in California doesn’t have it, which is where I live. I’d do anything but sell my soul to get it. And I’m not going to say what it is because I, honestly don’t want to share it with anyone so I’m keeping my secret safe with me, and my family! Enjoy!
We drive this road all the time, and today was the 1st time we ever noticed the sign for this restaurant/ bakery/ meat market. So we flipped around and decided to give it a try. Well hot dang, I'm glad we did.
As you walk up to the building there are 3 entrances. I wish they had bold vinyl lettering on the door so you know which door is which. We didn't figure it out until we went inside. (All the rooms connect anyways... so no big freak, it would have just been better with clear signage.)
* The door all the way to the right is the meat market area. You can purchase meats, sides, sauces, amazing homemade pickles, and jerky. The employees all seem cheerful and hollar out hello as you come in. I really loved this. It gave such a small town family vibe to it and made me want to come back to their store even before purchasing anything. (Amazing customer attention!)
* The middle door is their bakery. They offer donuts, pies, breads, sweets and even ice cream. The main gal at the counter around 12:30(on 9/11) was just as sweet, she really sold us on trying many things and again made us feel happy to have come in. When I asked if they offered a military discount the lady back behind the table behind the bakery glass, barked out "no!" She seemed very rude and her "bedside manner" if that's what we will call it, was terrible. She must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The lady must hate her job; loved the main gal at the counter. She rocked.
* The door all the way to the left is the restaurant; the waitress was so kind, gave a very welcoming hello. As we came in we were to seat ourselves, which was nice that we didn't have to wait. The food was so good and large portions. The price was great for what we were served and the quality.
The restaurant did have a funky smell to it, couldn't really place what the smell was.
Overall, I would totally come back, and I would recommend it to others.
For all these reasons I've given it 4 stars. I would have given it a full 5 stars if it wasn't for the employee with a sour attitude and the strange smell.
I had the extreme pleasure of Christopher Franks waiting on me, and what an awesome 😎 experience it was! I told Christopher it was my first time at the store and he said no worries we will make this fun! Christopher was very personable and friendly! I told him the store was spotless and the meat 🥩 counter show cases were beautifully presented! He thanked me and we continued conversations! You could tell Not Only Christopher, Jessica, and other person were all so friendly and helpful! Everyone made you feel so Welcome! This was A REAL PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MEAT 🥩 STORE & Bakery 🧁 Shoppe!
Great meat market. They also have a bakery and restaurant. Love that they accept EBT!
Bought their bulk chicken breasts, and their bulk brats. They delivered 55lbs of meat and put it in my freezer for me. Will be looking to purchase another round here very soon. God bless.
Never bought meat from Midwest beef, Does anyone know if this beef really taste like it came from the Midwest, Southwest beef cattle eat dessert land, Cattle in the Midwest eat a combination of hay and corn which the corn gives the Midwest beef a sweeter taste, Thank you
Midwestern Meats is by far the best butcher around; my home is 30 miles away and the trip is worth it.—. quality meat- helpful staff- amazing owners-professional and clean atmosphere - every experience with this place has been top notch and beyond my expectations. Staff even helps me to my car for loading my larger meat purchases- the beef jerky is to die for oh and the apple fritters from the bakery are a MUST have experience- the restaurant has delicious meals- my favorite is the Pork Tenderloin sandwich with yummy onion rings— it is always great to come into town and visit this wonderful establishment- ❤️
This is the best butcher in the East Valley!! Do not go to the local grocer for your meats unless you don’t have taste buds and plan on grilling it until it is burnt. When I walked in there, I was greeted by the meat masters and everyone was smiling and happy. They will cut steaks however thick you want, pre make burgers to whichever weight you want, the list goes on and on. Don’t sell yourself short on a good cut of meat.
Put on your jeans, your grilling shoes, and drive on down to Midwestern Meats and let them tell you what you’ll be grilling tonight.
They made my Valentine’s Day for my gal amazing! Prepackaged box of awesomeness for $50 and all the prep work was done. The steaks basically grilled themselves. Potatoes and asparagus were the best I’ve ever had.
Just a heads up... the Bakery and restaurant are closed indefinitely. The meat market is open and busy..... love that place.
My normal meat shop was under construction and I needed 65 1 1/4" thick chops for a special event. I called upon Midwestern meats who not only were up to the task but went the extra mile to cut and trim the chops the morning of pick up. The product was excellent.
